In the spring and summer we  find so many places to wander. A quaint antique shop or a special boutique, a new restaurant in our home town. I always remember to check their sale tables and displays. Many even offer free items with a purchase. I usually call ahead or ask when I visit their store. A great way to save some dollars and have a great day.

Every saturday till Fall....Port Orchard, Washington has a wonderful farmers market...lots and lots of great bargains! Located in downtown by the bay and marina... a nice place to visit!

College and University free performances and festivals...

Most Colleges and Universities in the Northwest offer many free performances, events and festivals through the year. Most are for all ages and many include free parking and sometimes even free food. Very good source of local culture for everyone! Check out your local info online at your neighborhood college....

Yard Sales, Garage Sales, Tag Sales, Estate Sales..great bargains.

These are beginning to be the best days for Yard, Garage, Tag and Estate Sales. Early in the spring the best bargains are found on friday, saturday and sunday by looking in your local newspaper, online and friends giving us the scoop of where to find a wonderful sale. I always check out new items, most pricing is more than fair. Make your list and find those bargains. Fridays seem to be the best overall. Some even serve up snacks and lunch...Have fun!

Local community Libraries all have Holiday events planned for children , moms and dads and senior citizens. Story time, book clubs, author events, most even have treats and coffee. A great way to spend the afternoon.

Some for a small fee and others are free. Find your area and check out schedules online or your local newspaper. A great way to participate in your community.
